Posture slat bases have been the bedding base of choice for people in Europe and USA for years, and have now overtaken sales of “ensemble bases” in Australia as they have numerous health and comfort benefits over the more traditional ensemble look.
Most people keep their bases for 10 to 20 years and over this time the ensemble base can become a haven for house dust mites and numerous insects because there is hardly any air flow through it and it is dark which is a great attraction for all types of nasties. Our Slat Base beds are made in our workshop and can be upholstered or stained in the colour of your choice. We use the best laminated beech slat system, these slats can last a life time. We make with separate holders for each slat (as opposed to the cheaper construction of just a ribbon holding the slats in) also the centre cross slats are manually adjustable by simply moving the rubber glides to adjust the slats to your comfort level.
This means that each partner can individually have their own comfort level.
Options include headboard and/or foot end, and we can also make the height from floor different sizes on request. The other advantage is that we deliver as a flat pack and this takes just 15 minutes to assemble but makes getting the bed into your bedroom and around you home so much easier. If you have the King Size this also allows the unit once assembled, to be in one piece instead of the very average looking “2 separate base” look that most retailers sell with King Beds. We can also create electric adjustable beds ideal for those with health issues or for the ultimate luxury.
